This is a track off the Thundergun EP (2019). I managed to capture a "sweet spot" with the Roland SP-555 mangling a drum track (while simultaneously auto correcting), to create a slippery drum groove. Then I went back and added an improvised guitar solo over the top of it, using a 90's Digitech Space Station pedal to add a glitch laden "semi reverse" effect. Lastly I added a drone style bass to provide a nice glue to pull the drums and guitar together. Mixed it quickly the same day and it was done! One of those awesome times when a new song almost seems to put itself together on its own.
